Acne 101: Make up and Exercise




Make up... I know it becomes something that is just so common to us girls. Whether its make up everyday or make up every once in a while to make us feel pretty. There is not a girl out there that doesn't know what it is, but another word that rings a bell is ACNE and BREAKOUTS. Make up can be pretty and all, but it can feel so gross on your skin when you work out and just leave the make up on your face. After my Rugby Practice I remembered I had completely forgotten to take off my make up. No make up was slipping or anything, but I always have to keep in mind that even when I don't sweat. If i wear make up while I exercise it definetly clogs the pores and can cause BREAKOUTS. Many girls feel insecure and so they decide to go to the work out room/exercise with make up, but what they don't realize is that this can be the central cause of all the break outs upon their faces!! After today I kept reminding myself that it is almost essential to remove make up before working out !! I'm not talking about like a thorough removal with a make up removal cloth. If you don't have all those great things before you then just use a baby wipe or if you don't even have that then just rinse off your face :) mainly just remember if you are like me and have acne prone skin remember don't let your pores get clogged!!! until next time
